Hi! :) Today I'm going to tell you how to make hot chocolate with Toblerone and chili. It's great for an evening in the exams, or just for cold winter days, and it's very easy to make. It probably sounds like a weird combination, but it apparently it's an maya tradition to put chili in hot chocolate. It gives a nice spicy touch, and I absolutely love it. I used chili powder, which contains: red pepper, jamaica pepper, cumin, oregano, clove and — strangely enough — garlic. Toblerone is milk chocolate with almonds and honey, and it tastes just as nice in "hot chocolate"-form as in regular form. ^^
Dit heb je nodig:
- 200 ml halfvolle melk
- 3 blokjes Toblerone (als je een reep van 100 g hebt, dat is het normale formaat)
- een klein beetje chilipoeder
You'll need:
- 200 ml (a little less than one cup) of semi-skimmed milk
- 3 chunks of Toblerone (that is, if you use a bar of 100 g, or 3.05 ounces)
- a little bit of chili powder
- Klaar! :)
Directions:
- Put the Toblerone and the chili powder in a cup.
- Heat the milk in the microwave (2 minutes on 1000 watt) or on the stove (until it's nearly boiling).
- Put the milk in the cup. wait till the chocolate has melted and then mix it all together.
- Ready! :)

wat 'n mooie keukenfoto! en je receptje ga ik zeker proberen :)
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing that chilli tastes good in chocolate but I've never actually tasted it before. Maybe I'll try this next time I have chilli powder on hand!
